As the title states. When I first bought Doom 2016 it had a 24 GB (!) patch which is extremely large for a PS4 game, and it took a couple hours to download. Then another patch came out which was also large but I sat through it because I had faith in it. Download novel marissa fredy s pdf.

Then I accidentally deleted the game, and now I really do not want to install a 70 GB game, that I own a disc for. I have a broadband cap, and while I'm never close to hitting it, and I'd be most likely fine downloading it, I just don't want to waste that resource, especially because I'm not sure if these patches will ever stop. Also these patches are largely for the multiplayer which I don't play, so it's not even worth it for that.I really feel like it's a wasted opportunity on Bethesda's part, as it's a great game, but probably one I will never play again. Maybe the Switch version is better? I can't wait for games to get rid of physical media.
I hope games will be 500GB - 1TB next generation so I can sell end labels for harddrives/SSDs. Imagine showing off an impressive collection of harddrives with games lining your shelves. Those labels will help you figure out what game is in that harddrive! And no, I will never stop mocking people from old country claiming digital is the future. Maybe if you lived in South Korea or something, then you can download games.Oh and of course if Net Neutrality goes out the window, I hope you guy enjoy paying extra money a month for extra speed, or the ability to access Steam. You're not going to use your monthly resource because you don't want to waste it, even though it will go away if you dont use it?
It is close to the end of the month, use it all up! If you don't waste it, then you have caved to your ISP, they don't give you breaks because you didn't use all of your 'allotment'.Not a fan of patches, but will take that over a broken game.
Do wish they would do desperate patches for single and multiplayer though, as I really don't give a fuck about multiplayer.Oh, and the Switch also has a huge patch for multiplayer and is annoying to start if you haven't downloaded it, since you need to make sure you don't have WiFi on. The on disc version is a broken mess. Screen tearing, nasty frame drops, no option to disable motion blur, and no option to adjust look acceleration. You could play it straight off the disc, but you really wouldn’t want to.And yeah OP I ended up selling my copy for similar reasons. I couldn’t spare the space and the patches kept getting bigger. I couldn’t justify installing it again.Doom 2016 is one of those games that sorely needs a special edition release; if only just to consolidate all of its bloated updates. The on disc version is a broken mess.
Doom is violent, gore-filled, bloody action that's supposed to be like a dumb action flick. It's not a story game. And not every game even needs a strong narrative to stand on it's own.

It's a shame that people are strapped for their bandwidth and such. I feel like the PS4 having the stand-by d/l and install function really makes any complaints about patching moot (I'm from Brazil and have a 50Mbps uncapped connection, btw). I really feel sorry that you're skipping a game because of patches, but then again, they added tons of content to the game (both MP and SP, too), so it's not like the patches are useless or anything like that.
And I wouldn't trade the console/PC version for the Switch version, unless you really want to play the game on the go. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with caps on my internet, that's insane.
How often does it reset, every month? Can't you just download it now before the month ends?
Anyway, you said you're never close to hitting your cap so what gives? You accidentally deleted the game, I don't know how a mistake like that is made but it seems like you brought this on yourself dude.I recall a few games letting you choose to download SP or MP first at the start of this gen. I believe Killzone Shadow Fall did this, I'm surprised it didn't become common practice considering the size of patches these days. I stumbled onto a guy's YouTube channel last year. He was pretty low tech and mostly covered limited releases, but demonstrated what you could expect if you ignored patches. I haven't been able to find his channel for months though.
His video on the Alienation Asian disc release helped me decide to pass on importing it. I remember him showing false advertising on the package; bullet points for local co-op. The disc release was an earlier version of the digital release containing none of the more recent updates (there was no co-op) and a patch was needed for the advertised content.I thought about starting a list earlier this year, but I just don't have the time or means to do it. I'm kind of surprised no one has done this already. It might be worth making a thread.
