Hi,Just had fiber optic connection installed. I have a FiberHome AN5506-04-FG router.
Why you need to reboot a FiberHome AN5506-04-F2 router. Turning off the power from the FiberHome AN5506-04-F2 router and turning it on again is known as restarting. Restarting the router will not give you higher internet speed but can improve speed in some cases. The FiberHome AN5506-04-F2 router have software that performs the operation.
I need to open port 38594 for my p2p to be connectable. Port-forward site has no instructions for this router, the FiberHome models they do show have a different GUI than my router uses. My router settings has no port forward tab, only thing close is NAT where custom rules can be made, yet I see none of the options in there I would need to open a port for my purposes. Screenshot attached.Searched all over internet, very little info on this model router is available, let alone tutorials for port forwarding. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give instructions?Win 7 Ult x64Thanksmannshands. This is a tough case.I could not find any information on the ISP's site to assist. Most likely they are allowed to tailor the firmware in their fibermodem to their needs and I suspect they have left out the port forwarding on purpose. There are some options:1.
Call the ISP and ask if they can do the port forwarding for you2. Get a separate router and connect everything to that instead. Then you can do a 1 to 1 NAT to the ip address of that router. This would allow you to do the port forwardingYou could do a 1 to 1 NAT to a computer on your network, but then that would be the only computer you could do the port forwarding to and you would need to make sure you have a good solid firewall on it because it will be like leaving your computer unprotected on a public IP if you dontHth!tfn. Hi,Asking the ISP for help port forwarding would be like asking a bank for the combination to their safe, they will assume I have illegal intentions.
In the EU torrenting is a no-no. As it is I have to run all my P2P thru a vpn. That works fine, but I am limited to public trackers as without a port open I can't seed to private trackers. I want to be connectable to these private trackersGet a separate router and connect everything to that instead. Then you can do a 1 to 1 NAT to the ip address of that router. This would allow you to do the port forwardingI have a Solwise 3GWIFIMRD WLAN desktop server router in the closet.
Will that work? Are you saying to use NAT 1 to 1 to connect my old router to the new router, then setup the open port on the old router, then connect my devices to the old router? Hi,spent a few hours with the Solwise 3GWIFIMRD WLAN desktop server router. Could not find any port forward facility in that either. In my region tech products tend to be cheap Chinese generic models but I can get TP Link products.
Can you suggest a router made by them that will allow me to easily port forward? Is there is one by TP Link that can port forward and will accept my fiber optic cable that connects to my FiberHome router input? I am willing to buy a replacement that meets my needs.Cheersmannshands. Cessna 310r maintenance manual pdf.
